Abstract: |
An experiment was carried out during February, 2009 and the same was repeated in February, 2010 . Sole cultural management practices (viz. trash mulching, early light earthing up, furrow application of chlorpyriphos) as well as their combination with each other, were tested against early shoot borer on sugarcane plantation. The highest cane yield was produced from the plots treated with all three cultural practices (i.e. furrow application of chlorpyriphos at the rate of 1 kg a.i (active ingredient) per hectare plus 10 cm thick trash mulching immediately after planting plus two light earthing up at 45 and 60 days after planting)................ |
