Title : Nepalese barley: Variation in agro-morphological characteristics Material Type: printed text Authors: R.B Amgai, Author ; S Pantha, Author ; T.B Chhetri, Author ; S. K. Budhathoki, Author ; S. Piya, Author ; Khatiwada, S.P., Author ; M.P. Upadhyaya, Author ; A Mudwari, Author Pagination: 110-113 p. Languages : English (eng) Keywords: Barley, Disease, Spike Length Abstract: Different experiments namely National Observation Nursery (NON), Initial Evaluation Trial (JET), Coordinated Varietal Trial (CVT) and Coordinated Farmers' Field Trials (CFFT) were conducted both in hill and mountain environments during winter season of 2008 and 2009. Among the tested genotypes when combined over years, genotype LG-51/XVeola-2-77-3-3-1-1-l K (2378 kg/ha) produced the highest yield followed by ACC# l 557 (1958 kg/ha) and B 8679-lk-2-0K3 (1946 kg/ha) in NON-hill. Likewise in NON-mountain, ACC#5177 (2650 kg/ha) followed by........................

Title : Performance of rice hybrids in spring season in Dhanusha district Material Type: printed text Authors: Dil Raj Yadav ; Ram Baran Yadaw, Author ; Surya Narayan Sah, Author ; Umesh Sah, Author ; Parmananda Sharma, Author ; Dilip Sah, Author Pagination: 172-173 p. Languages : English (eng) Keywords: rice hybrids ; productive tillers grain yield panicle length Abstract: Four rice hybrids were evaluated for yield and yield attributing traits at National Rice
Research Program, Hardinath , Dhanusha in comparison to Chaite-2 and Hardinath-1 during
spring season, 2011. The experiment was conducted in randomized complete block design
with three replications. Out of four tested hybrids two hybrids viz., V -775 and 834 produced
more productive tillers/m2
, longer panicles and higher grain yield (kg/ha) than the check
varieties Chaite-2 and Hardianth-1. The increase in yield over the checks; Chaite-2 and
Hardinath-1 ranged from 20.33-48.13% and 16.73-43.70%, respectively. While the other two
hybrids, Arize 6129 and 813 produced lower grain yield (kg/ha) than the checks.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=885 Performance of rice hybrids in spring season in Dhanusha district [printed text] / Dil Raj Yadav ; Ram Baran Yadaw, Author ; Surya Narayan Sah, Author ; Umesh Sah, Author ; Parmananda Sharma, Author ; Dilip Sah, Author . - [s.d.] . - 172-173 p.
