Soil testing is the basis for soil fertility management that maintains the productivity of soil and improves the quality of crops. It promotes more efficient use of fertilizers at a lower cost, and prevents environmental pollution from excess fertilizer. Unbalanced use of chemical fertilizer is a common problem in Nepal. In particular, much nitrogen fertilizer is often applied at the expense of other nutrients in major vegetable pocket areas............................. |
