Abstract: |
A field study was carried out to evaluate the performance of the different tomato (Lycopersicum esculantum) cultivars under organic and off-season conditions in GSOARC organic farm, Pokharelphant, Tanahun, Nepal from August to December 2010. Treatments were varieties with nearly equal potential yield, comprising BL 410 (open- pollinated), Queen Bell (hybrid) and Zebra (organic variety). Each variety was grown in similar organic nutrient and bio-pesticides conditions and replicated four times in one factor randomized complete block design. Organic nutrients FYM @ 48 t/ha and vermi-compost @ 20 t/ha were applied as basal dose and ‘Panchagabya’, a liquid biofertilizer, was sprayed 30, 60 and 90 days after transplanting @ 5 liters diluted with 50 liters of water……………………… |
