Abstract: |
There have been concentrated researches on cost effective quality fish feed for all age group of cultured fish species for intensive aquaculture. Although the nutritional requirement and standardization of some feed formula for trout already has been categorized for all age groups but the least cost quality feed production is the main challenging task. Feeding behavior and feed of indigenous fishes like Sahar has also been assessed and formulated. The major constraint in animal husbandry including aquaculture is the feed cost which occupied more than 70% of total production cost. To reduce the price of a well balanced feed, locally available ingredients should be included in the feed, especially agricultural by-products. Being an agricultural country, Nepal has a number of agricultural by-products that can be used as animal feed…………………… |
