Abstract: |
Experiments were conducted at the research farm and greenhouse of International Rice Research Institute (IRRJ), Philippines during the dry and wet seasons of 1994 (Mar.-Nov.). The field experiment was conducted in two water regimes (well-watered and water deficit), laid out in a split-plot design with four replications subjected to two N levels (0 and 100 kg N/ha) as main plots and two rice cultivars (IR72 and PSBRcl4) as subplot treatments. The greenhouse experiment was laid out in a factorial RCBD with three repl ications using same water levels but different N (50 and 120 kg/ha) levels and rice cultivars (IR72, PSBRcl4 , IR42 and KDML105). The objective of the experiments was to investigate the influence of drought and. N limitations on the performance and adaptation of rice cultivars and the plastic responses over the stress environments…………….. |
