Despite the availability of irrigation facility and endeavors of GO and NGO sectors, rice yield has not been increased in Sunsari and Morang districts for last ten years. To determine the actual yield trend of rice and factors contributing to it, a survey was carried out in three purposively selected sites in each district. In the initial years of irrigation project, rice yield was substantially increased, later on remained stagnant in most parts but declined in some parts…………. |
