Abstract: |
This study was carried out to determine an optimum dose of sweet flag (Acorus calamus L) stolen dust in order to reduce the weevil infestation (Sitophilus oryzae L.) in stored wheat. The stolen dust was evaluated at rates of 0, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 g per kg wheat grains. The performance of dust in both years indicated that a dose of 20 g or> 20 g per kg grains was highly effective to reduce the weevil infestation. The dose rate of 20 g dust per kg wheat is determined as an optimum dose to reduce weevil damage to a negligible level. |
