Abstract: |
The irrigated rice-based cropping system is one of most important production systems in Nepal, A total of 300 genotypes of rice in six different varietal activities under the BMGF project were conducted during June to December season 2009 and 2010 in irrigated condition. To develop varieties with high yield potential in irrigated condition and fit in lowland cropping system. All the tested genotypes were received from IRRI, Philippines in the year 2009 and 2010. Among the tested genotypes, In Advance Yield Trial100- 120,IR 79913-B-399-B-2produced highest grain Yield (6750kg/ha) followed by Radha-4 (60 17kglha), IR81431-B-B-141 (5353kg/ha) and IR78908-193-B-3-B (5343kg/ha) respectively. Similarly, in Advance Yield Trial Greater Than 120C( AYTGT120), IR81896- B-B-74-B (6123.5kg/ha) and lR 81896-B-B-68-B (583Skg/ha) showed as stable genotypes, on the basis of average yield of two years. likewise In trial RM520C, IR 81896-B-B- 362was found as highest yielder (4950 kg /ha) followed by IR 81896-B-B-408 and IR 81896-B-B-158 (4247 kg/ha) and (4195kg/ha) respectively, In ADAYSAL lR 64, IR 75298-5-6-18 has highest grain yield (6063kglha) followed by IR 64 (5906kg/ha) and IR 77298-5-6-19 (5875kglha) respectively. In Donor trial lRS75 14-PMI-5-B-1-2 was found as highest yielder (5146 kglha) followed by IR77080-B-34-t-1(4733 kglha) and Ghaiya2 (4429 kglha), respectively. In Observation Yield Trial ,IR 78875-207-B-1-B, IR 78936-B- 9-B-B-B, IR 78937-B-20-B-B-4, IR 79907-B-389-B-1, IR 79913-B-238-B-3, IR 79913-B- 362-B-3, IR 79915-B-83-4-3, lR 79915-B-83-4-4, IR 79971-B-149-2-3, IR 79971-B-149-2- 4 ,IR 79971-B-201-2-3, IR 80973-B-186-U 1-2, IR 81063-B-94-U 3-1 ,IR 81063-B-94-U 3-2, IR 81063-B-94-U 3-3, IR 81063-B-94-U 3-4, IR 81430-B-B-140and IR 75417-R-R-RR- 267-3 were selected. All those selected genotypes fall under 100-120 days maturity group with good yield potential (>6 tonlha) more than standard check SABITRI. The selected genotypes were promoted to Advance Yield trial( A YT 1 00-120). |
