in Hill corps workshop proceedings of winter crops workshop (barley) September 11-12,2002 and summer corps workshop(finger millet and buckwheat) July 2-3,2002 also includes finger millet and buckwheat disease report 1997 / Upreti, R.P.
Title : RESPONSE OF MAIZE AND MILLET TO MANURE AND FERTILIZER UNDER MAIZE/MILLET CROPPING SYSTEM Material Type: printed text Authors: RC Munankarmy, Author ; YR Thapa, Author Publisher: Lalitpur : NARC Publication Date: 2003 Pagination: 54-62 p. Languages : English (eng) Descriptors: Plants and Crops:Field Crops and Crop Production Abstract:
An experiment with seven treatments consisting of iwo levels of nutrients and one without nutrient application and three sources of nutrients for each level wqs carried out in 1997 under maize/millet cropping-pattern in Pakchribas. •Maize and millet yield tended to increase with the increased levels- of nutrient in all three sources of manure. Net negative balance ofN and K was observed under all levels as well as sources of nutrients but not the P. Fertilization with inorganic manure alone tended to aggravate rate of soil 01\l/ depletion and enhanced the soil acidity. However, combined application of organic + inorganic manure in one is to one ratio in terms of nutrients minimized nutrient depletion rate particularly OM and enhanced soil acidity were observed
