Title : Varietal improvement on Pigeonpea in Nepal Material Type: printed text Authors: Yadav, N.K., Sponsor ; Neupane R.K., Author ; B.N Jha ; D.L Yadav, Author Publisher: Lalitpur : NARC Publication Date: 2000 Pagination: 28-42 p. Keywords: Grain legumes; Oil crops; Research; Legumes Abstract: Observation Nursery, Initial Evaluation Trial, Co-ordinated. Varietal Trial and Fanners Field Trial on
short and long duration as well as Rabi planting pigeonpea were planted at different locations to select
the high yielding disease resistant genotype for recommendation. In observation nursery (SO) UPAS -
120 produced th e highest yield 2082 kglha. In Initial Evaluation Trial (SO) at Nawalpur genotype,
ICPL 86005 produced 1569 kglha as compared to RR-1 ( 1283 kglha). Mean over year and location of
co- ordinate Varietal trial revealed that genotype ICPL 87101 (2228 kglha) and ICPL 89011 (2137
kglha), produced significantly higher yield than RR-1 ( 1828 kglha). In co-ordinated Varietal trial (LO)
ICPL 85036 produced significantly higher yield ( 1940 kglha) than Bageshwori ( 160 I kglha) at
Nawalpur during 1998/99. At Nepalgunj genotype ICPL 85036 also produced higher yield (2422 kglha)
as compare to Bageshwori (1662 kglha). In Rabi pigeonpea Pusa-9 produced higher mean yield (2350
kglha) over year and location as compare to Bageshwori (1471 kglha) while Pusa-14 produced (1699
kglha). Seed size of both these lines arc bigger and attractive as compare to RR-1 ,and are candidates for
release.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=558 Varietal improvement on Pigeonpea in Nepal [printed text] / Yadav, N.K., Sponsor ; Neupane R.K., Author ; B.N Jha ; D.L Yadav, Author . - Lalitpur : NARC, 2000 . - 28-42 p.

Title : Varietal investigation on soybean in Terai Material Type: printed text Authors: Darai, R., Sponsor ; B.N Jha, Author ; B.S Bastola, Author Publisher: Lalitpur : NARC Publication Date: 2000 Pagination: 83-95 p. Keywords: Grain legumes; Oil crops; Research; Legumes Abstract: A perfonnance study on Soybean consisting of Observation Nursery (OBN) and Initial
Evaluation Trial (JET) was conducted during 1998 - 1999/2000 at GLRP, Rampur. Similarly,
Coordinated Varietal Trial (CVT) was conducted at GLRP. Rampur and ORP, Nawalpur with
the objective of selecting high yielding genotypes. A total of Twenty-five Gennplasm
(exotic and local collection) in OBN. twenty Gem1plasm in lET and fifteer in CVT were
evaluated for yield and it's attributes. In OBN, the highest mean yield over years was
produced by the genotype lANG BEAG KONG (2375 kg/ha) followed by PI 200525 (2088
kglha) and SB00122 (2042 kglha) than standard check Hardee (1820' kglha). In JET, the
genotype Ankur produced the highest mean grain yield 1693 kglha followed by Kavre (1475
kglha) which was at par with the recommended variety Cobb (1693 kg/ha). In CVT, the
genotype IARS-87-1 produced the highest pooled mean yield 1993 kglha followed by F-778817
(1933 kglha) and PK-327 ( 1554 kglha) at par with the Cobb ( 1735 kglha).Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=565 Varietal investigation on soybean in Terai [printed text] / Darai, R., Sponsor ; B.N Jha, Author ; B.S Bastola, Author . - Lalitpur : NARC, 2000 . - 83-95 p.
