Title : Evaluation of mungbean genotypes to yellow mosaic disease of mungbean Material Type: printed text Authors: S. Joshi, Editor ; ,Shrestha, S.K., Author ; Neupane R.K., Author Pagination: 38-40 p. Keywords: Soybeans; Pigeon peas; Mungbean; Cropping systems; patterns; Plant diseases; Genotypes; Variety trials; Field experimentation; Agronomic characters; Grain Legumes Abstract: Mungbean yellow mosaic disease caused by Mungbean Yellow Mosaic Geminivirus
(MYMV) is an important disease of mungbean of Nepal. Among the sixteenmungbean
genotypes screened in 2000 and 2001 summer season at GLRP,
Ralnpur, genotypes VC 6370 (30-65), VC 6368 (46-7-2), and VC6372 (45-8-1)
were found immune in both year. Except susceptible and local checks all the
genotypes showed resistant, moderately resistant and susceptible reaction against
the disease.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=592 Evaluation of mungbean genotypes to yellow mosaic disease of mungbean [printed text] / S. Joshi, Editor ; ,Shrestha, S.K., Author ; Neupane R.K., Author . - [s.d.] . - 38-40 p.

Publisher: Lalitpur : NARC Publication Date: 2000 Pagination: 23-27 p. Keywords: Grain legumes; Oil crops; Research; Legumes Abstract: Mungbean yellow mosaic disease caused by Mungbean yel~ow mosaic Gemini virus (MYMV) is an
important disease of mungbean and other legumes of Nepal. The virus is identified by e-DNA
hybridization analysis. This is the first report of identification of MYMV virus by e-DNA .
hybridization analysis in ·the country. Among the fifteen mungbean line~ screened in 1998 and 1999
summer season at GLRP, Rampur and ORP, Sarlahi, three lines VC 6370, VC 6369 (53-97) and VC

Title : Viral Diseases of Pepper in Nepal Material Type: printed text Authors: S. Joshi, Author ; Shrestha, S.K., Author Pagination: 255-259 p. Languages : English (eng) Keywords: DAS ELISA. host range, pepper viruses, resistant genotypes Abstract: Viral disease problem is one of the constraints in cultivation of pepper in terai, inner
terai and foot hills and hills of Nepal. The viral disease problem of pepper is complex,
more than one viruses attack simultaneously. With an objective to identify, viral
diseases of pepper and their management, disease was surveyed in main pepper
growing area in different years and screened for Cucumber mosaic cucumovirus
(CMV) and Chilli veinal mottle potyvirus (CVMV). Tomato yellow leaf curl virus
{TYLCV) was identified by c DNA hybridization at A VRDC, CMV and CVMV were
identified by Double Antibody Sandwich (DAS) ELISA in Plant Pathology Division,
Khumaltar. Fifteen pepper lines were screened for CMV and CVMV by artificial
inoculation of local isolates in the screen house at Khumaltar. Five and 3 lines
respectively were found to be resistant to CMV and CVMV.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=508 Viral Diseases of Pepper in Nepal [printed text] / S. Joshi, Author ; Shrestha, S.K., Author . - [s.d.] . - 255-259 p.
