Abstract: |
The incidence of disease was recorded mostly in buffaloes during peak winter season (Jan-Feb). In Morang district out of 189 buffaloes studied 92(48. 7%) were found affected. The morbidity was found to be 31.2% and mortality rate was 17.5%. ln Sunsari district 70 buffaloes were examined, morbidity was 50% and mortalil)i rate was 18. 6%. However out of 150 cattle examined no cattle were found affected in both districts. Blood smear revealed anemia, increased number of band cells (immature neutrophils). All samples were negative for blood protozoa. Fungal culture of the straw samples revealed · Aspergillus sps, Mucor sps. and Fusarium sps. fungus. |
