Title : Investigation Of Economically Important Poultry Diseases Material Type: printed text Authors: UM.Singh, Author ; SR Aryal, Author ; MP.Acharya, Author ; Khanal, D.R., Author ; Shrestha, S., Author Pagination: 215-218 p. Languages : English (eng) Abstract: A total of 80 birds were examined by post mortem examination. Major diseases identified in younger and
grower birds were Collibacillosis, Gumboro disease, Leechi heart disease, Aflatoxicosis and Coccidiosis.
Salmonellosis and Marek's disease was the major disease problem in layers. Salmonella gallinarum has been
isolated from liver of dead birds. A total of 190 layer birds of 12 layer farms located at Katmandu valley was
screened for salmonellosis by using salmonella colored antigen and 56 birds (29.47 %) ~ere tested positive.
12 cloacal swabs from sero-positive reactors birds were rendered for bacteriological culture and two were
found positive. Serum samples collected from different government and private poultry farms and all the
serum samples were found negative for antibodies against avian influenza.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=305 Investigation Of Economically Important Poultry Diseases [printed text] / UM.Singh, Author ; SR Aryal, Author ; MP.Acharya, Author ; Khanal, D.R., Author ; Shrestha, S., Author . - [s.d.] . - 215-218 p.

Title : Preliminary Study Of Caprine Paratuberculosis In Nepalese Goats. Material Type: printed text Authors: UM.Singh, Author ; MP.Acharya, Author ; SP Shrestha, Author Pagination: 208-210 p. Languages : English (eng) Abstract: Paratuberculosis (Johne's disease) is a chronic granulomatous disease mainly of ruminants. An attempt was
made to study the occurrence of paratuberculosis in Nepalese goats by examining serum and faecal samples
from suspected animals of Agricultural Research Station, Bandipur, Goat market Kalanki and Livestock
service center, Lubhu, Lalitpur. Samples collected from goats of ARS, Bandipur revealed Agar gel
immunodiffusion test 2 ( 16.66%), faecal smear 4 (33.33%) and faecal culture examination 1 (8.33%)
positive. Whereas serum samples and faecal samples from goats of goat market, Kathmandu and Lubhu,
Lalitpur were detected negative for AGIO and Mycobacterium paratuberculosis organisms. This study has
indicated the presence of Caprine paratuberculosis in Nepalese goats.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=303 Preliminary Study Of Caprine Paratuberculosis In Nepalese Goats. [printed text] / UM.Singh, Author ; MP.Acharya, Author ; SP Shrestha, Author . - [s.d.] . - 208-210 p.
