performances of 50% Jamunapari x Khari and 50% Barbari x Khari. The growth pe1jormances
of these crossbred animals were found better on farmers management system of low hills and
river basin compared to on station performances. But in case of reproductive pelformance in
farmers field, age at first kidding and kidding interval was better on farmers management
however kidding rate was lower then on station. The preliminary study shows that crossbred
animals could perform equally well at low hills and river basin as is found at ARS Bandipur.
Further study encompassing larger areas and larger number of animals needs to be studied to
