On the basis of the total equivalent yield of the system as rice the sequential cropping system rice-potato-mung (14.07/ t/ha), rice-lentil-mung (8.59/ tina) and rice-oat-mung (7.620 tlha) were observed the best in sequence. However economically important sequential cropping systems were rice-potatomung ·(Rs. 40897.5/ha), rice-lentil-mung (Rs. 29854.5/ha) and maize-toria-mung (Ra. 29593.0/ha). Incorporation of legume (mung-bean) in the cropping system during spring increased the cropping intensity (/ 00%), total production of system and soil fortility status.
