Title : Cereal based sequential cropping system for mid and far-western terai Material Type: printed text Authors: Dutta. V.K. ; M.B Chadaro, Author Pagination: 217-220 p. Languages : English (eng) Keywords: cropping system ; cereal soil fertility Abstract: Field experiment in two consecutive years 2001102 and 2002/03 were carried out at Regional
Agriculture Research Station, Khajura, Nepalgunj to develop the most appropriate and
economic viable cereal based sequential cropping system to enhance the production and
productivity level of the cropping system and enhance/sustain the soil fertility status and
increase cropping intensity in mid and far western terai. On the basis of the total equivalent
yield of the system as rice the sequential cropping system rice-potato-mung (14.07/ t/ha),
rice-lentil-mung (8.59/ tina) and rice-oat-mung (7.620 tlha) were observed the best in
sequence. However economically important sequential cropping systems were rice-potatomung
·(Rs. 40897.5/ha), rice-lentil-mung (Rs. 29854.5/ha) and maize-toria-mung (Ra.
29593.0/ha). Incorporation of legume (mung-bean) in the cropping system during spring
increased the cropping intensity (/ 00%), total production of system and soil fortility status.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=1106 Cereal based sequential cropping system for mid and far-western terai [printed text] / Dutta. V.K. ; M.B Chadaro, Author . - [s.d.] . - 217-220 p.

Title : Development of chickpea genotypes for Mid and Far Western Terai of Nepal Material Type: printed text Authors: Dutta. V.K., Author ; D.N Pokhrel, Author ; Maharjan, R, Author Pagination: 50-53 p. Languages : English (eng) Abstract: Field experiments in separate set for Kabuli and Desi chickpea were conducted at RARS, Nepalgunj for two consecutive years 2000 and 2001 in RCB design for selection of high yield potentiality, multiple diseases and pest resistant genotypes for mid and far western terai. The selection criterion war associated with plant characteristics, diseases and pest resistances, grain yield and yield components…………………….
