Title : An outbreak of Aeromonas Caviae infection in rainbow trout fish at Godawari Material Type: printed text Authors: Rayamajhi, A., Author Pagination: 393-397 p. Languages : English (eng) Keywords: Hyrerplasia, hypertrophy, odima, pyknotic nuclei Abstract: The rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) has been cultured in raceways of Fisheries Research Division, Godnwnri since 1988. An unknown disease, which caused about 32% mortalities. Bacterial fish isolate was cultured on Tryptic Soy Agor (TSA) and was incubated for 24 hours at 310C. The bacterial isolate cultured from lesion of trout skin was identified as Aeromonas cavlae by applying standard biochemical test and API 20E Strip system……..

KC, Author Pagination: 51-55 p. Languages : English (eng) Abstract: The spawning behavior of gold fish (Carassius auratus auratus) was studied from February to
July 2000 in natural condition. Gold fish produced their young ones from 29 February to 16
May 2000. Egg fertility was observed fi"om 76% to 87.5% and the hatchibility was observed
from 71% to 80%. A total of 499 offspring were resulted at seven batches. About 91% small
size flies were lost out of 499 individuals.Breeding Observation Of Gold Fish, Carassius Auratus Auratus [printed text] / K. Bajracharya, Author ; Joshi, P.L., Author ; Rayamajhi, A., Author ; D. KC, Author . - [s.d.] . - 51-55 p.

Title : Identification of bacterial isolates collected from fresh water fish Material Type: printed text Authors: Prasad, S., Author ; Rayamajhi, A., Author Pagination: 369-372 p. Languages : English (eng) Keywords: Aeromonas hydrophila, bacterial isolates, causative agent Abstract: Bacterial diseases are among the most important and common problems faced by aquaculturist worldwide. Identification and treatment of causative agent based on gross sign are sometimes not very effective because several isolates of the pathogens are associated with other aquatic vertebrate diseases. In this study, bacterial isolates were isolated from two different places, FRD Godawari and FRC Pokhara and diagnosed by obtaining pure culture followed by phenotypic test (morphological, physiological and biochemical test) and compared with existing diagnostic scheme. Based on certain uniformity such as Gram-negative and positive reactions for catalase, oxidase and fermentative reaction on glucose enables to identify the isolates, Aeromonas hydrophila. Some sugar utilization and decarboxylase test showed differences in strains of Aeromonas hydrophila.
