Many seeding date trials were conducted in Tarai since the establishment of National Wheat Development Programme (now National wheat Research Programme) in 1972 in Kathmandu and its shifting from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa in 1975. From the results obtained so far mid to late November has been found to be the beet seeding date for higher yields irrespective of varieties and location………………………….
