| Abstract: |
£co-geographic swvey to identify the flighest diversity areas of citnts genotype was
conducted during 2000 to 2003 in four hill districts of Nepal. The study included the
characterization, evaluation and quality assessment of fruit genotypes that were idelllijied in
diversity areas. Fifteen hill citms genotypes from different villages were characterized and
evaluated. It was found that some of the local landraces of mandarin orange (Swrtala and
Kamala) of Banskharka-1. Bansklrarka-2, Parbat District. Sweet orange (Mousami Local) of
Birauta, Dedeldlrura District and Junar of Ratnac/rura-2, Sindlruli District /rave been found
as having high commercial value and these genotypes could immediately be recommended
for commercia/farming. |
