The highest cane yield was produced  from the plots treated with all three cultural  practices  (i.e. furrow  application  of  chlorpyriphos  at the  rate  of  1  kg  a.i  (active  ingredient)  per hectare  plus  10 cm  thick  trash  mulching  immediately  after planting  plus  two  light earthing up at 45 and 60 days after planting)................
