Adhikari, Author ; Purushottam P. Khatiwada, Author Pagination: 216-219 p. Languages : English (eng) Keywords: Large cardamom, liming, soil reaction Abstract: A field experiment was conducted at Fikkal VDC of flam district with an objective to see
the changes of soil reaction due to liming at different dose of agricultural lime in large
cardamom declining areas. The experiment was conducted in a randomized complete
block design with four treatments and replicated four times. Soil samples were
collected and analyzed with SMP buffer for lime requirement. Initially the soil pH was
4.99 and it increased up ·to 6. 77 in the plots treated with maximum limit of lime. Soil
reaction was found increased from the initial values (4.99) in the soil treated according
to the intended level.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=249 Effect of Liming on Large Cardamom Growing Son of llam District [printed text] / Shree P. Vista, Author ; Neelam Subba, Author ; Niranjan P. Adhikari, Author ; Purushottam P. Khatiwada, Author . - [s.d.] . - 216-219 p.

Title : Long term effect of organic manure and fertilizer on soil chemical properties Material Type: printed text Authors: SP Vista, Editor ; Thapa, Y.R., Author ; K.N Mishra, Author Publication Date: 2010 Pagination: 369-376 p. Keywords: FYM ; Fertilizer organic matter soil reaction Abstract: A long term (2001-2004) field experiment was conducted on sandy clay loam soil with acidic soil reaction to study the effect of
organic manure, chemical fertilizer and combination of both organic manure and fertilizer on soil chemical properties at South farm
(.Kholitar) of ARS Pakhribas, Dhankuta at an altitude of 1420 mas! under rice wheat cropping system with various treatment
combinations including FYM, chemical fertilizer, combination of FYM and fertilizer both at full and half doses. The soil reaction
was found buffered in the soil treated with organic manure at full dose and the soil turned more acidic when treated with chemical
fertilizer at full dose. Application of both organic manure and fertilizer at full dose showed higher organic matter content in the soil.
The nitrogen content in the surface soil was found high both in organic manure treated soil as well as combination of organic manure
and fertilizer at full dose. Application of full dose of nutrients through organic manure recorded significantly higher phosphorus
content in the surface soil. However, the potassium content in the surface soil was not found consistent throughout the period of
investigation.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=1038 Long term effect of organic manure and fertilizer on soil chemical properties [printed text] / SP Vista, Editor ; Thapa, Y.R., Author ; K.N Mishra, Author . - 2010 . - 369-376 p.
