Performance evaluation of promising genotypes of finger millet at ARS , Dailekh / Dhakal, J.P.
Title : Performance evaluation of promising genotypes of finger millet at ARS , Dailekh Material Type: printed text Authors: Dhakal, J.P., Editor ; B Ghimire ; A Pokharel, Author ; Sharma, S.R., Author Pagination: 126-129 p. Keywords: Finger millet ; genotypes performance evaluation Abstract: Among the cereals crops finger millet is even grown by the maximum farmers of the mid
western region. Keeping this fact in consideration, Agricultual Research Station, Dailekh
conducted varietal experiments on finger millet during two summer season of 2011 and
2012. Nine CVT genotypes received from Hill crop research program (HCRP) Kahre,
Dolakha. The coordinated varietal trial was laid out in RCB Design with three replication to
identify the suitable genotypes in the region. Significant differences were observed among
the tested genotypes in coordinated varietal trial. Over all performances of finger millet
genotypes KLE -192 (2768 kglha), GE 5001 (2719 kglha), ACC#523-1(2653 kglha),
ACC#2827-1 (2507 kglha) and ACC#433-1 (2449 kglha) in CVT were found impressive
and identified the best performer over the year. The better genotypes of CVT need to
promote to coordinated farmers field trial.Performance evaluation of promising genotypes of finger millet at ARS , Dailekh [printed text] / Dhakal, J.P., Editor ; B Ghimire ; A Pokharel, Author ; Sharma, S.R., Author . - [s.d.] . - 126-129 p.

Title : Adoption of boro rice in Parsa and Bara Material Type: printed text Authors: Bhurer, K.P., Author ; D.B. Gharti, Author ; G Sah, Author ; M.L. Sah, Author ; S Justice, Author Pagination: 33-35 p. Languages : English (eng) Keywords: Boro rice, Tarai areas, yield performance Abstract: Four varieties of boro rice namely BG 1442. Saroj, Gautam and Jaya were tested at 3 sites with a view to popularize and let the farmers adopt promising boro rice cultivars in the command area. BG 1442 and Jaya yielded the highest (5543 kg/ha) IN Belwa, Parss, Saroj and Gautam were low yielder (4435 kg/ha). At Fatepur, Bara, Gautam, Jaya, BRRI DHAN 36 and Sugaha local were verified and produced 3210, 3210, 3120 and 1980 kg/ha respectively. In 2002/03 boro rice varieties such as Prabhat, Gautam, Dhan Laxmi and Richharia were included for verification at Biruwaguthi, Parsa and gave 3343, 4241, 3185 and 2266 kg/ha, respectively. Gautam, Prabhat and Dhan Laxmi can be grown as boro rice.
