Abstract: |
The use of chemical pesticides has become a common practice to manage pest problems in commercial farming in Nepal. The chemical pesticides are becoming popular because of their quick knock-down effect on targeted pests and its easy availability in the market. They are generally applied in the form of foliar sprays as well as directly to the soil. Due to such application of pesticides leave considerable quantities of pesticides and their degraded products accumulated in the soil ecosystem. The soil needs to be healthy and productive to produce more food. Chemical pesticides cause harmful effect to soil microbials, soil respiration and soil fertility…………….. |
