Abstract: |
Soil organic carbon (SOC) influences soil physical and chemical processes, and serves as repository source of plant nutrients. Limited information is available concerning SOC status of different layers in Nepalese soils. Two hundred soil samples from five different soil depths (0-5, 5-10, 10-15, 15-30 and 30-50 cm) of Rampur and Baireni, were analyzed to evaluate the precision of Graham’s colorimetric method of SOC analysis. The SOC values obtained from Graham’s colorimetric method were compared with dry combustion SOC values for the same soil samples……………… |
