Influence of Plant Spacing on Seed Yield of Radish 'Mino Early' / Poon, T.B. ; Regmi, H.N. ; O.B. Woli
Title : Influence of Plant Spacing on Seed Yield of Radish 'Mino Early' Material Type: printed text Authors: Poon, T.B., Author ; Regmi, H.N., Author ; O.B. Woli, Author Pagination: 373-376 p. Languages : English (eng) Keywords: plant geometry, Raphanus sativa L, seed yield, 1000 wt. Abstract: This study was carried out at Agriculture Research Station, Dailekh for two consecutive
years from 2001/002 to 20021003. The main objective of the study was to find out the
appropriate level of crop distance for seed crop of 'Mino Early' radish. Treatment consisted
of fow levels of crop distance (45 X 45, 45 X 60, 45 x 75, and 45 x 90 em). They were tested
in randomized complete block design and replicated five times. Seeds were sown in the 111
week of October in both year of the study. The crop distances significantly affected the seed
yield/ha, where the level contributed to the significantly highest seed yield (2070.475kg/ha)
than that of rest of the spacing. On the score of total seed yield/ unit area and insignificant
differences in 100 seed weight, the growers be suggested to adopt the first level of crop
distance for maximum seed production of 'Mino Early' radish.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=578 Influence of Plant Spacing on Seed Yield of Radish 'Mino Early' [printed text] / Poon, T.B., Author ; Regmi, H.N., Author ; O.B. Woli, Author . - [s.d.] . - 373-376 p.

Title : Performance of In-Vitro Plantlets and Stem Cuttings for Pre-Basic Seed Potato Production Under Glasshouse Material Type: printed text Authors: Sakha, B.M., Author ; G. P. Rai, Author Pagination: 186-189 p. Languages : English (eng) Keywords: cardinal. In vitro, mini tubers, PBS, plant geometry, stem cuttings Abstract: Four weeks old in t;itro plantlets and stem cuttings of potato cv. Cardinal were plallted under
glasshouse with three plallf geomett)'· viz. 1 OxJO em. 1 5x I 5 em and 20x I 0 em to study the
petformance of theie plallfing materials for pre-basic seed (PBS) production. The study was
conducted in RCBD replicated thrice and the data analyzed with MSTAT-C. It was fotmd that
in vitro plantlers produced five minitttbers per plant as compared to two from stem cuttings.
However, the mean tuber size of PBS produced from stem cuttings was 8. 7 as against 2.8 g
produced from in vitro plantlets. The plantlets planted with 10x10 em spacing yielded the
highest number (294/nl) of PBS. Hence 10 x 10 em spacing is recommended for in vitro
plantlets to maximize the mm1ber of PBS yield and for stem cuttings to maximize minituber
yield as well as minimize the mean minituber size.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=488 Performance of In-Vitro Plantlets and Stem Cuttings for Pre-Basic Seed Potato Production Under Glasshouse [printed text] / Sakha, B.M., Author ; G. P. Rai, Author . - [s.d.] . - 186-189 p.
