Title : Response of nutrients on jute fiber production Material Type: printed text Authors: Thapa, Yub Raj ; Binod Kumar Gupta, Author ; Hari Narayan Mandal, Author Pagination: 277-280 p. Languages : English (eng) Keywords: nutreints ; fiber organic matter Abstract: Jute is grown mainly eastern terai region ofMechi and Koshi zone (especially Jhapa, Morang,
and sunsari districts). Jute research work is responsible of jute research program, Itahari,
Sunsari. Jute fiber production is influence by nutrients management. A research was
conducted at JRP (Jute Research Program) for nutrients management. Ten treatments were
repeated three times. The soil type was loamy sand, acidic (pH 5.5), low in organic matter
(OM) content and rain fed condition. The jute fibre production in 2010/011 (3 .47 tons!ha) in
40:20:40 NPK kg ha·' plus two tons/ha agric. Lime supplied treatment, similarly 3.33 tons/ha
fiber was produced in 80:20:40 NPK kg ha·' supplied treatment, where as in 20 ll/0 12 fibre
yield was highest (3.53 tons ha- 1
) in the treatment supplied 80:20:40 kg ha·' NPK plus 2 tons
ha·' agric. Lime. Therefore it indicate that nitrogen nutrient is more responsible for fibre yield
increase, similarly agric. Lime helpful for fiber production in acidic soil.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=911 Response of nutrients on jute fiber production [printed text] / Thapa, Yub Raj ; Binod Kumar Gupta, Author ; Hari Narayan Mandal, Author . - [s.d.] . - 277-280 p.
