Title : Evaluation of mungbean genotypes to yellow mosaic disease of mungbean Material Type: printed text Authors: S. Joshi, Editor ; ,Shrestha, S.K., Author ; Neupane R.K., Author Pagination: 38-40 p. Keywords: Soybeans; Pigeon peas; Mungbean; Cropping systems; patterns; Plant diseases; Genotypes; Variety trials; Field experimentation; Agronomic characters; Grain Legumes Abstract: Mungbean yellow mosaic disease caused by Mungbean Yellow Mosaic Geminivirus
(MYMV) is an important disease of mungbean of Nepal. Among the sixteenmungbean
genotypes screened in 2000 and 2001 summer season at GLRP,
Ralnpur, genotypes VC 6370 (30-65), VC 6368 (46-7-2), and VC6372 (45-8-1)
were found immune in both year. Except susceptible and local checks all the
genotypes showed resistant, moderately resistant and susceptible reaction against
the disease.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=592 Evaluation of mungbean genotypes to yellow mosaic disease of mungbean [printed text] / S. Joshi, Editor ; ,Shrestha, S.K., Author ; Neupane R.K., Author . - [s.d.] . - 38-40 p.

Title : Varietal investigation on mungbean in Nepal Material Type: printed text Authors: Sah, R.P., Editor ; Neupane, R., Author ; Neupane R.K., Author ; E.M. Bhattarai, Author ; Sah, M.P., Author Pagination: 41-48 p. Keywords: Soybeans; Pigeon peas; Mungbean; Cropping systems; patterns; Plant diseases; Genotypes; Variety trials; Field experimentation; Agronomic characters; Grain Legumes Abstract: Mungbean is an important pulse crop of Nepal. It is grown in irrigated/partially-irrigated area
in the terai. inner terai and warm valleys mainly as a spring season crop in rice-wheat
mungbean pattern. Major production constraints include mungbean yellow mosaic virus
disease, cercospora leaf spot disease, need for multiple picking and low yield of existing
varieties. Varietal investigation conducted in the year 2000101 to 2001102 has resulted in the
identification and selection of a number of high yielding and disease resistant genotypes. In
mungbean trial received from Asian Vegetable Research and Development Center (AVRDC).
the genotypes VC 63 72 (45-8-1). VC 3960A-88, VC 6153 B-20G, and VC 6153 B-20P were
found high y ielding at Rampur. In mungbean yellow mosaic virus disease screening nursery,
the genotypes VC 3960A-88, VC 61 73C, VC 6372 (45-8-1) VC 6371-94, VC 6371-92, VC 6368
f.J6-7-2) were resistant to the disease. In coordint;zted varietal trial, the genotypes VC 3960A-
88, VC 63 72 (45-8-1), VC 6368 (46-7-2) and VC 6153 B-20 G produced higher yields than the
check varieties Pusa Baisa/chi and Saptary local in both years. Genotypes VC 3960A-88. VC
6372 (45-8-1), VC 6368 (46-7-2) VC 6153 B-20 have attractive bold seeds and are being
promoted to farmers field trial. These genotypes are the potential candidates for release.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=593 Varietal investigation on mungbean in Nepal [printed text] / Sah, R.P., Editor ; Neupane, R., Author ; Neupane R.K., Author ; E.M.
