Title : CIP 392222.25: A Promising Potato Clone for Karnali Region of Nepal Material Type: printed text Authors: R. K. Giri, Author ; Subedi, G.D., Author ; D. B. Kathayat, Author ; S Gautam, Author ; P.B. Paneru, Author Publication Date: 2015 Article on page: 50-54 p. Languages : English (eng) Keywords: Clone, drought, Karnali region, RCBD, tuber yield, Abstract: Farmers’ Field Trial (FFT) on Potato was carried out for four consecutive
years (2007/2008 to 2012/13) in order to identify suitable clones with good
plant uniformity, tuber color, shape, drought, pest and diseases tolerant, high
productivity and suitable for the Karnali region of Nepal. Based on the results
and farmer’s preference, clone 392222.25 is identified as high yielding drought
tolerant variety, thus selected and recommended for cultivation in the Karnali
region of Nepal.

Title : Identifying high yielding maize genotypes for Karnali region of Nepal Material Type: printed text Authors: Keshab Babu Koirala ; Dil Bahadur Gurung ; Tirtha Rraj Rijal ; Jeeban Shrestha ; Ram Bahadur Bhujel, Author Pagination: 68-70 p. Languages : English (eng) Keywords: maize ; genotypes Jumla Karnali Abstract: With the objective of identifying high yielding maize genotypes for Karnali region, twenty-six
mai ze genotypes collected from Karnali region were tested in spring season at on-station and
farmers' fields of Agricu ltural Research Station Jumla and wi nter season of 2012 at National
Maize Research Program, Rampur, Chitwan. High ly significant differences among the tested
genotypes were observed for days to 50% tasseling and s il king in both of the locations. Grain
yield differed significantly at NMRP Rampur and highly significantly in Jumla. The
genotypes namely KKT-POP, KKT-03, KKT-1 4, MGU-08 , Kamali Pool White and Kamali
Pool Yellow produced higher grain yield at both the locations, Jumla and Rampur. Ganesh J
