Languages : English (eng) Keywords: Barley, Genotypes, Environments, Productivity Abstract: Different experiments namely National Observation Nursery (NON), Initial Evaluation Trial (JET), Coordinated Varietal Trial (CVT) and Coordinated Farmers' Field Trials (CFFT) were conducted both in hill and mountain environments during winter season of 2008 and 2009. Among the tested genotypes when combined over years, genotype LG-51/XVeola-2-77-3-3-1-1-l K (2378 kg/ha) produced the highest yield followed by ACC# l 557 (1958 kg/ha) and B 8679-lk-2-0K3 (1946 kg/ha) in NON-hill. Likewise in NON-mountain, ACC#5177 (2650 kg/ha) followed by........................

Title : Varietal investigation on buckwheat under different agro-ecological zones of Nepal Material Type: printed text Authors: Prasad, R.C., Editor ; Sharma D R, Author ; S Thapa, Author Publication Date: 2010 Pagination: 263-278 p. Abstract: Several experiments such as NON, lET, CVT and FFJ' were carried-out at different locations under field and various climatic
condition during two successive summer season 2005 and 2006 to develop high yielding, disease resistant and fanners preferred
buckwheat varieties. There was no significant difference in combined grain yield in CVT and lET however, Acc.#2223 and GF-5099
produced the highest grain yield 3589 kglha and 2375 kglha followed by sample #6-1 (3362 kglha) and GF-5283 (2164 kglha) in
bitter and sweet CVT respectively. The promising buckwheat genotypes GF-5063 and Acc.#2223 might be recommended for the
cultivation under farmers condition.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=1024 Varietal investigation on buckwheat under different agro-ecological zones of Nepal [printed text] / Prasad, R.C., Editor ; Sharma D R, Author ; S Thapa, Author . - 2010 . - 263-278 p.

Title : Varietal investigation on fingermillet under various agro-ecological zones of Nepal Material Type: printed text Authors: Prasad, R.C., Editor ; Gurung D.B., Author ; Chaudhary, D.K., Author ; S.B Bishwokarma, Author ; Sharma D R, Author ; S Thapa, Author Publication Date: 2010 Pagination: 242-262 p. Abstract: In order to develop high yielding, early maturing, disease resistant and farmers preferred finger millet varieties a series of
experiments such as NON, lET, CVT and FFT were conducted at HCRP Kabre, it's Outreach Research Site and other locations
under field condition of mid and high hills environment during two consecutive season 2005 and 2006. Acc.#523-1, Acc.#2311, GE-
0356, GE-0382 and Acc.#433-1 were selected as promising fingermillet genotypes based on grain yield and other desired characters.
Among the tested entries GE-5016 and GE-5176 are proposed to release as new fmgermillet varieties for the purpose of general
cultivation.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=1023 Varietal investigation on fingermillet under various agro-ecological zones of Nepal [printed text] / Prasad, R.C., Editor ; Gurung D.B., Author ; Chaudhary, D.K., Author ; S.B Bishwokarma, Author ; Sharma D R, Author ; S Thapa, Author . - 2010 . - 242-262 p.

Title : Wheat varietal investigation for dolakha and adjoining districts of Nepal Material Type: printed text Authors: Koirala, K.B., Author ; S.R Subedi, Author ; S Thapa, Author ; Vaidya, M.L., Author ; Prasad, R.C., Author ; Bhatta, M.R., Author Pagination: 206-211 p. Languages : English (eng) Keywords: Wheat, Genotypes, Experiments Abstract: Varietal Display and various experiments like Initial Evaluation Trials (JET) and Coordinated Farmers' Field trials (CFFT) on wheat were conducted at on-station and outreach sites of HCRP (Hill Crops Research Programme), Kahre during winter season of 2008 and 2009. The weather condition for wheat was unfavorable in 2008 as compared to 2009 because of drought. The result shows that in Varietal Display the average grain yield was found 316 and 834 kg/ha during 2008 and 2009, respectively . The maximum yield of Varietal Display was found in BL 3502 of 1170 kg/ha and in BL 3623 of 1900 kg/ha respectively during 2008 and 2009. During 2008 in Initial Evaluation Trial (IET) most of the agronomic traits except Days to Heading were recorded non-significant...................
