Languages : English (eng) Abstract: Different elite lines of ear~y rice were evaluated at AER and OR sites representing lower
hills and river basin agro-environments of western hills during the spring season of
2000-2002. Randomized complete block design was applied to evaluate the entries in
coordinated varietal (CVTs) and farmers' field trials (FFTs). Experimental results and
feedbacks.fromfarmers revealed that NR274-10, BG 1442, IR 13155 and NR 10285-14-
3-3-1 were superior to local and standard checks in grain yield and agronomic traits
and have widely been accepted by the farmers . Research and development stakeholders
should be involved in a team to bring impacts on wider dissemination and production of
these lines to help improve economy and livelihood of rice growers.Link for e-copy: http://elibrary.narc.gov.np/?r=1098 Performance evaluation of early(spring) rice varieties under low hills and river basins of western hills [printed text] / Ghimire, K.H. ; Koirala, K.B., Author ; Sah, R.P., Author ; Bhandari, H.S., Author ; HK Prasai, Author ; Bhattarai M, Author ; R Poudel, Author . - [s.d.] . - 156-163 p.

Title : Performance Evaluation of Promising Genotypes of Wheat and Chickpea at the Command Areas of ARS Doti Material Type: printed text Authors: Prasai, H.K., Author ; Shrestha, S.P., Author ; B.P. Joshi, Author ; Bhandari, H.S., Author ; Adhikari, S., Author Pagination: 71-77 p. Languages : English (eng) Keywords: Genotypes, Grain Yield, Traits Abstract: Elite genotypes of wheat and chickpea were tested at the command areas of Agriculture Research Station, Doti during the years 2065/66 and 2066/67. Out of the tested genotypes during 2065/66, genotype!CCX 940508-21 was found superior (860 kg/ha) followed by ICCX-840508-44 (789 kg/ha). Similarly, same genotypes were also tested during 2066/67, out of them, the genotype BG 1206 was identified as superior (1052 kg/ha) followed by BG 372 (995 kg/ha). Statistically, the difference in grain yield due to the genotypes in both of the years was not found significant. Combined analysis over year identified JCCX 840508-32 (779 kg/ha) and ICCX 840508-44 (762 kg/ha) as superior genotype. Statistically, the treatment difference in grain yield due to year was found significant at I% level whereas the interaction between year and genotypes was not observed significant. Six promising genotypes of wheat were tested in PVS during the year 2066/67.......................
