Two types of Farmers Field Trial (FFT) sets one for Tarai/Tars/Valleys and other for Mid/High Hills each having 6 varieties were distributed to test their performances on this Agro­ ecological zone. One hundred and Sixty one Sets of FFTs for Tarai/Tars/Valleys were sent to different research institutions and results of only 81 sets were received. These results revealed that BL 1022 had the highest overall performance with the mean grain yield of 2313 kg/ha followed by BL 1020 (2193 kg/ha )…………………………..

A fairly large number of farmers use wheat seeds with their own sources and in this way there is every probability that seeds , get mixed of several genotypes after .a few years. Grain yields of 12 years were analysed and treatment means were separated by means of Duncans Multiple Range Test (D LRT)   Regreession and  co-relation analysis  were also performad to observe the effect of years over treatments on grain yield…………………….

The Nitrogen use efficiency had negative correletion with the wheat grain yield i.e each kg N applied produced lesser and lesser grain yield as more and more Nitrogen was applied.
