An observation Nursery on Tori a (Brassica campetris var. Toria) was conducted at ORP with 45 lines. The highest Seed yield was recorded from Acc no. - 5696 (722   kq/ha) folLowed by Acc no. - 5728 (567  kg/ha) and Acc no. - 6078  (561 kg/ha) (Table-1). In Initial Evaluation Trial (IET) on Toria, out of 20 lines, the highest   seed yield was obtained in ICT-9118 (922 kg/h) followed by Acc no. 8257(896   kg/ha).   The yield of Vikas was 880 kg/ha, (Table-2.). The results of seven locations of  Co-ordinated varietal Trial revealed that PT-30 produced 892 kg  seed/ha followed by ICT-9121 (886  kg/ha).  While the check  variety vikas  produced   876 kg seed  per  hectara (Table-3).

Rayo (Brassica juncea) and Sarson (Brassica campestris var. Sarson) are one of the most important edible oil crop of our  country having the high yield potentiality. They are the most important cash crop of country too which plays very important role in increasing the purchasing power of the Nepalese farmers. Better varieties are  needed for different agroclimatic conditions to increase the productivity of oil crop. With this view ORP has been conducting Varietal investigation work in this crop. During 1995/96, in observation Nursery on Rayo Acc  No. 5750 produced highest seed  yield (953  kg/ha) followed by Acc No. 5746 (627  kg/ha)-Table-1). In CVT on Rayo, Pusa barani produced highest seed yield (630 M/hn) followed  by Kranti (611 kg/ha)and  verdan (602   kg/ha) - Table-2. In Observation Nursery on  Sarson, the highest seed yield was produced by ECS-9138-3 (580.3 kg/ha) followecl by EC6-9138-4 (511.4 kg/ha) and Acc no 5742 (498.1 kg/ha) - Table-11.   IET  on Sarson, Acc No. 28/5 produced hiqhest seed yield (502  kg/ha) followe  by  ICS-9108 (493 kg/ha) - Table-12. In CVT on Saron, the hiqhest seed yield was obtained by PVS-6(775   kg/ha) followed by S-5 (775 kq/ha) and Local sarson(664  kg/ha)-Table-13.

104 genotypes of   Brassica  oilcrops were screened under field conditlons to find out the sources of resistance against mustard aphids. Among 104 genotypes 12 were tolerant to mustard  aphids in B.campestris  var. Toria. In B. juncea 6 genotypes were  tolerant where   as  in B. campestris var. sarson only  two  genotypes   were found to be tolerant to mustard aphids.

Similarly CFFT hayo result showed that Krishna produced highest seed yield (450 kg/ha) followed by Pusa bold (400 kg/ha)Table -3. In technology production demostration (TDP) on toria and rayo result revealed that 0.682 kg seed yield/ha was found in improved practice while 0.466 kg/ha seed yield in farmer practice, which was 46.3 higher yield than farmer practice (Table -2) in TDP rayo, 500 kg seed yield was obtained in improve practice while 450  kg seed yield was produced in farmer practice while 450 kg seed yield was produced in farmer practice which is 11.1% higher yield than FP (Table - 4).
