Normal sown irrigated wheat is one of the most important product ion environments in the Terai. Wheat varieties with high yield potential and resistant to major diseases are essential to increase production and productivity in such environment. Altogether 21 and 22 different breeding trials were conducted at N WRP, Bhairahawa during 2000/0 I and 2001/02 wheat seasons respectively to develop and identify suitable varieties for timely-sown irrigated conditions. Multilocational screening of different nurseries and yield trials were attempted at several locations………………… |
