Abstract: |
The study was conducted at RARS, Bhairahawa during 1993/94 and 1994/95. Sub-surface drainage methods used were gravel + sand, bamboo, polythene pipe and no drainage. For the years, the average highest and lowest grain yields of 2.035 and 1.895 t/ha were obtained by polythene pipe and no drainage, respectively. The average highest volume of water drainedout was 96.03 lit/min/ha obtained with polythene pipe. In both the years, a trend of deeper water table was found with polythene pipe treatment. |
