The extent of wheat sterility problem in the western hills of Nepal and all the possible causes of sterility have been reviewed The sterility problem has been increasingly observed both in rice-wheat system in irrigated lands and maize-wheat system in the uplands. The extents of losses were as high as 98% under severe conditions.
