In order to screen wheat genotypes received from International and National source for resistant donors and also evaluate promising and recommended varieties for prevalent pathogen, Nepal Wheat Disease Screening Nursery containing 315 entries was planted at LARC {1675m) in 1994-95 winter season. From the nursery nineteen varieties were selected for disease as well as agronomic point of view. The variety NL645 was found promising with less blight and powdery mildew incidence. This variety was also resistant to leaf as well as yellow rust………………………… |
