Abstract: |
The experiment was carried out in 2008/09, 2009/ 10 and 2010/ 1 I at Sugarcane Research Programme, Jeetpur, Bara. In all the three years of experimentation a plot of 2x3.6m with three replications was used. There were fifteen sugarcane genotypes in nursery in all the years. Plots were fertilized at the rate of 150:60:40 kg NPK/ha out of which fifty percent nitrogen and all P and K were given as basal and remaining nitrogen was given in two equal doses at 50-60 and 75-85 days after planting respectively. In first year all the tested sugarcane genotypes showed red rot infection but only three genotypes such as COP-94163 (6.8 cm), C0-97018 (6.6 cm) and B0- 130 (5.4 cm) had relatively higher percentage of infection and all the sugarcane genotypes were infected but showed resistant reactions to red rot................. |
