Abstract: |
In the mid-hills of eastern development region wheat is grown after the harvest of maize and rice. It is necessary to identify the suitable wheat varieties both in rice and maize based systems. Higher grain yield, rust resistance and proper maturity to fit in above systems are the major traits needed for wheat crop. Keeping these realities in view the wheat experiments received from National Wheat Research Program Bhairahawa were evaluated to suit in mid and high hills environments of eastern development region. Coordinated wheat varietal trial consisted of 20 different genotypes were conducted during 2008/09 and 2009/ 10 winter seasons at Agriculture Research Station Pakhribas..................... |
