| Abstract: |
A study was conducted at Jute Research Program, Itahari during 2009/10 to find out the most suitable and profitable date of sowing of jute. Three jute varieties: Itahari 1, Itahari 2 and JRO 524 were planted on six dates: May 29, June 16, June 30, July 18, July 31, August 15 of 2010 in randomized complete block design in three replications. The study revealed that highest seed yield of 900 kg/ha, 700 kg/ha and 933 kg/ha were recorded on May 29 by the varieties: Itahari 1, Itahari 2 and JRO 524, respectively………………… |
