Jute (Corchorus spp.) is mainly grown in eastern terai of Nepal. The area, production and productivity of jute are more or less stagnant for last several years. The sole cropping of jute now considered as almost non-profitable and non-competable enterprise with other crops and only done in small scale for household consumption. So a study was conducted at Jute Research Program, Itahari during 2009/10 in randomized complete block design with seven treatments in three replications to know the most economical cropping system………………… |
