Rice (OryzasativaL.) is the principle food crop of Nepalese people and is being cultivated in a wide range of agro-climatic regions of Nepal from 60 to 3050 meter above sea level. About 4.46% of the total rice land falls in high hill, where cold injury due to low air temperature is the major constraint in the rice production. An attempt was made to develop cold tolerant and high yielding genotype for this region by conducting on-station and on-farm rice varietal research. On-station researches were conducted at Agriculture Research Station (ARS), Jumla and Agricultural Botany Division, Khumaltar involving 10-12 rice genotypes during 2007- 2009 in randomized complete block design...................
