Bottle gourd (Lagenaria siceraria) is one of the major summer vegetables in terai. Generally, it is noticed that when the day length increases, number of fruits decreases resulting to reduced yield. Therefore, this trial was conducted for two years (2004 and 2005) on Pusa Summer Prolific Long (PSPL) variety to identify proper growth substance for improving the yield of bottle gourd.
