Abstract: |
A trial was conducted to assess the productivity, palatability of major fodder tree and utilization of tree leaves by goats in stall-fed management. Four different fodder trees spec.ies such as Badahar (Artocarpus lakoocha), Tanki ( Bauhinid purpurea ), Dabdabe (Garuga pinnata ) , Nimaro (Ficus roxburghii) were tagged and lopped to get the tree leaves production. Morphological characters such as branch extension, tree height, tree circumference (breast height) were recorded. Leaves were analyzed for proximate composition. Sixteen growing goat hoggets were assigned to four types of tree leaves, used to estimate the utilization of tree leaves, and feed conversion efficiency…………... |
