Abstract: |
Six varieties of radish (Raphanus sativus Linn.) were evaluated at Agriculture Research Station (Horticulture), Malepatan, Pokhara (848 masl) in two consecutive years 1997 and 1998 to identify the best variety and appropriate seeding date for off-season radish production. A factorial RCB design was applied with three replications. Minu Early, Japanese White Neck, Tokinashi, Lumle-1, Bangaladeshi Red and 40 Days were seeded in last week of August to last week of March with one-month interval. The result revealed that the variety Minu Early and Japanese White Neck produced the highest fresh marketable radish yield of 30.8 and 29.1 t/ha during the main season August and September seeding, respectively……………… |
