Abstract: |
Linseed (Linum usitatissimum) is a winter oil seed crop. It is grown in terai and inner terai region in rice fallow system as relay crop. Observation nursery, initial evaluation trial and coordinated varietal trial on linseed were carried out with objectives ofidentifying suitable high yielding varieties with disease and insect tolerance. In Observation Nursery,Sarlahilocal recorded highest mean seed yield of 2160 kg/ha followed by ACC#99-001(1394 kg/ha), ACC#99-005(1350 kg/ha) and ACC#96-003(1145 kg/ha). In Initial Evaluation Trial, over the years ACC# 96-008 recorded highest mean seed yield of 791 kg/ha. In Coordinated Varietal Trial over the years and locations ACC#96-005 recorded highest mean seed yield of 825 kg/ha where as Sarlahi local and Bara local produced mean seed yield of 580 kg/ha and 423 kg/ha,respectively. |
