'l'he study was conducted on Niger (cuizotia abyssinica)during 1996-97 to study the effect of date of seeding on seed yield. Hiqhest seed yield per hector(305.4  kg) was recorded when  the crop was sown in second week of Shrawan. 'l'he  number  of primary branch per plant, number of capitulun per  plant and nurnber of seeds  per capitulum were also highast in  second week of Shrawan sown crop.
