Abstract: |
In order to identify the sources of resistance for Cercospora leaf spot disease two hundred and th:.~ eight fingermillet genotypes obtained from national as well as international programme were evaluated under field condition at HCRP Kahre and RARS Lumle during 2005 and 2006 among them 114 and 20 cultivars were found superior from agronomics! point of view and resistant to cercospora leaf spot respectively that might be used in breeding programme to develop new fingermillet varieties and some of them such as KLE-101, KLE-154, KLE-157, KLE-178, KLE-192, KLE-236, KLE-252, KLE-258, Acc.#2601, GE-519 and DR-2 could be recommended for the cultivation under fanners condition. |
