| Abstract: |
A total of 398 entries were evaluated in six activities under the project varietal improvement works for irrigated normal cond
during 2004 and 2005. The main activities were International Irrigated Rice observation Nursery, Initial Evaluation Tri1
Coordinated Varietal Trial CVT-N and farmer's field Trial. The International Irrigated observation Nursery \vith 116 entries dt
2004 and 80 entries during 2005 including 2 local check along with 3 standard check were conducted at NRRP, Hardinath. In II
evaluation Trial was conducted at NRRP and the top yielding entries were IR72891-73-3-3-1(5421 kg/ha),PSB RC66(5127 kl
and IR 68058-64-l-2(4828 kglha) during 2004 while during 2005, TOX 3749-34-3-1(3659 kglha), D.h\1AJ.'\ITE(3615 kg/ha) an
73004-83-2-2-3(3615 kglha) were the top yielder in IET-N. Sixteen entries were tested in RCB design having four replicati01
coordinated varietal trial normal during 2004 and 2005. Among the tested 16 entries at different locations in CVT-N the top l
yielder were NR 1769-34-2-1- l-3-l-1(4541 kglha), IR68068-99-1-2-3-3-3(4446 kglha) and BR6158-RWBC2-6-5 (4361 kf
during 2004 while during 2005 the top yielder were NR 1772-2-1-1-1-2-2-1(4225 kg/ha, BR 6158-RWBC2-6-5(3856 kglha) an
68440-13-1-3-3 (3848 kglha). |
