A total of 145 entries were evaluated in two activities under the project "Varietal Improvement Works for Fine Grain and Aromatic
Rice". In International Fine Grain and Aromatic Rice observation Nursery, IR. 72860-109-2-3-2(4429 kg/ha) and IR 72870-19-2-2-
3(4643kg/ha) entries were very much promising, and were selected for further. testing in yield trial. In Initial Evaluation Trial, IR
71138-49-2-2-1-2(5511 kg/ha) and FRX30F5B-9F6B1-8(5488 kglha) were found promising during 2004 while in 2005 entries IR.
74052-80-l-1(4629 kglha) and IR 72873-39-3-1-2(4266kg/ha) were promising. Out of 16 genotypes tested in Fine Grain and
Aromatic rice yield trial, IR 72870-102-2-2-1-3and IR 72870-19-2-2-3 will be tested in farmer's field for farmer's acceptance. In
fimners field trial qiTLR. 85033-9-3-1-1 were found promising. |
