Abstract: |
Different elite lines of ear~y rice were evaluated at AER and OR sites representing lower hills and river basin agro-environments of western hills during the spring season of 2000-2002. Randomized complete block design was applied to evaluate the entries in coordinated varietal (CVTs) and farmers' field trials (FFTs). Experimental results and feedbacks.fromfarmers revealed that NR274-10, BG 1442, IR 13155 and NR 10285-14- 3-3-1 were superior to local and standard checks in grain yield and agronomic traits and have widely been accepted by the farmers . Research and development stakeholders should be involved in a team to bring impacts on wider dissemination and production of these lines to help improve economy and livelihood of rice growers. |
